Autism Assessment for Adults and Adolescents in Texas

A formal autism evaluation — affirming, non-pathologizing, and designed to account for how masking affects presentation. Virtual across Texas. Free 15-minute consultation.

Late autism diagnosis is more common than most people realize — especially for women, non-binary people, and people of color, who are more likely to be missed or misdiagnosed for years. If you've spent a long time feeling like you didn't quite fit, or have been told "you don't seem autistic," that experience is worth taking seriously.

Assessment here is designed to account for masking. You don't need to present in a particular way to be evaluated fairly.

What an Autism Assessment Can Do

Find Language to Describe Your Experiences

A lot of autistic adults have had their experiences dismissed, minimized, or attributed to anxiety, shyness, or being "too sensitive." Assessment can give language to what's actually been happening — and that clarity matters, even when it doesn't change anything on paper. Many folks find that a diagnosis reframes years of experience in a way that's genuinely useful.

Understand Your Autism as More Than a Label

Assessment here isn't about finding deficits. It's about building a more accurate picture of how your brain works — communication patterns, sensory needs, social processing, executive function. That kind of clarity tends to reduce a lot of the self-blame that accumulates when you've been struggling without a framework that fits.

Build Accommodations to Fit Your Needs

A formal autism diagnosis creates documentation you can actually use, if you so choose. Workplace accommodations, academic support, medication referrals — these become accessible options with a written report in hand. The process is designed to give you something concrete to work with

About Matt Jackson, LPA (Licensed Psychological Associate)

Matt Jackson, LPA

“ I'm a Licensed Psychological Associate in Texas, and I have ADHD. I do assessments for adults and adolescents (13+) because I know what it's like to navigate a world that wasn't built for your brain — and I know how much it matters to have a process that takes your actual experience seriously, not just how you present on paper. Autism assessment requires more nuance than a lot of people expect. Masking, late diagnosis, atypical presentation — these are things the assessment process here is specifically designed to account for. I'm not looking for whether you fit a narrow profile. I'm looking at the full picture. I don't use ABA-based approaches in my clinical work, and that philosophy carries into how I approach assessment. The goal isn't to document deficits — it's to build an accurate, useful picture of how your brain works. I'm licensed in Texas and see adults and adolescents virtually across the state.”
